What are fee tiers?

Last modified:

A fee tier is the percentage charged on every swap in a given pool. Each provider's share is proportional to their in-range liquidity. For the full calculation, see Fees.

v3 fee tiers

v3 offers four tiers: 1 %, 0.30 %, 0.05 %, and 0.01 %.

  • Fees accrue to each position but are not auto-compounded — they must be collected manually or are included when removing capital.
  • After collection, the provider may keep the fees or reinvest them by adding to the position.
  • On eligible pools, a portion of each fee is directed to the protocol (CTN burn mechanism).

v2 fee tier

v2 offers a single 0.30 % tier.

  • Fees are automatically compounded back into the pool, increasing the value of the provider's LP tokens over time.
  • To realise earned fees, remove liquidity — there is no separate collection step.
  • Fees are split between providers and the CTN burn mechanism.
